So i'm on the train from northern Westchester to new york city, looking at all the pretty scenery, and i start thinking about the earth. Pretty vague, i know. But i was just thinking about the Hudson river, and how it was at one point prolly just a bunch of mountains. Then something happened, like a huge earthquake or whatever, that caused a canyon to form. Im just guessing this because of the palisades cliffs and stuff, im not really going for a full scientific evaluation here. So anyway a small stream slowly eroded all the rocks to form the hudson river valley, yay! Basically the earth's been shaped for the most part by the natural progression of eroding and creation and growing and evolving, blah blah blah, duh. So here's the point of all this rambling. Thousands of years later a bunch of Rockefeller and Trump like dudes decide to come along and knock down, burn to the ground, blow up, kill, drain, and destroy billions of years worth of Mama Earth's hard work. And I mean, there's nothing anyone can do about it, most of the damage is done and its still going on and its not going to stop, i know. But it just started to really bother me.
So then the day after Independence Day, i went to see Wall-E with some friends. I actually had no idea what it about, so i didnt know what to expect, but lets just say i had tears in my eyes like 10 minutes into the movie. It wasn't as if something catastrophic had happened, it was just that it was soo, soo sad. I'll try not to ruin it for everyone but basically the world was one big landfill. Which is a litter and pollution issue, not so much development, but it's all connected. That movie was soo good by the way, i think everyone should see it.
I think I've rambled enough for today so i'll just say that I dont think anyone should be a crazy environmental activist living in trees and stuff, no one should have to be. Just put ur trash in a garbage bin (please), recycle and reuse (its not that hard), and unplug chargers and other stuff ur not really using (just helping youu out - you'll save a ton in electric bills). Be a little nice to our planet, if you can. Or else.
